1. \u00a0Open Contacts on your Galaxy S.<\/div>\n
2. \u00a0Menu -> More -> Import\/Export -> Export to SD.<\/div>\n
3. \u00a0Menu -> More -> Import\/Export -> Import from SD.<\/div>\n
4. \u00a0Choose to import contacts to your GMAIL account (this is the very important step!)<\/div>\n
5. \u00a0Wait until your phone has synced.<\/div>\n
6. \u00a0Open Gmail (in your favorite web browser) , go to your Contacts -> More Actions -> Find and Merge Duplicates<\/div>\n
7. \u00a0Wait and your phone will resync. (Optionally, go into Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> Uncheck and Check Sync Contacts to force resync)<\/div>\n
From now on when you create a contact, just remember to create it for your Google account and not your Phone!<\/div>\n
